Leica Summilux-M 35mm ASPH. DNG’s for pixel peeping

Some DNG’s of the new Leica Summilux-M 35mm ASPH. uploaded for people interested in pixel peeping.

Farmers house, shot at f/2 which is not very sensible for such a subject. It would have been much better to use an aperture of 4 or even 5.6 to take this frontal shot.

The barn was taken with f/1.4, f/4 and f/6.7. Be aware that I was located somewhat higher then the barn, so it is not a frontal shot. The focus was on a knothole above the middle beam of the door.

Jonathan Slack did by coincidence post some very nice pictures taken with the new Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH., the Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH and the Summicron-M 75mm f/2 ASPH.. Its shows nicely the bokeh  of these lenses: ‘Jonathan Slack – July 10th – the hottest day of the year’

IMO the 35mm lens does not have the nicest bokeh of these lenses, indeed. On some pictures the background looks somewhat harsh.

It depends very much on the subject which you are going to take. For landscape and street or general shooting it is excellent lens. Just my opinion…

Pictures taken with the latest Leica Summilux-M 35mm ASPH. online

I did upload a new gallery with some example pictures of the latest Leica Summilux-M 35mm ASPH.
A really gorgeous lens! I did not experience any focus shift. It is razor sharp.
The only concern might be the somewhat strange distortion. But on most pictures it is not to see anyway.
Enjoy!
